Why is planomatti free?
planomatti is an independent project by Matti Flückiger, a qualified Swiss mediamatician (EFZ). It started as a tool for planning my own IPA, the final apprenticeship project: a Gantt with planned vs actual plus Kanban. Because it can help others too, I opened it to everyone in October 2026.
Apprentices, schools and clubs rarely have a budget for licences. That’s why planomatti is free and ad-free.
And in the future?
There will be no subscription. The core features stay free.
Later on, there may be some optional extras, for example custom colours in the Gantt timeline. If you don’t need them, you keep working for free as before.
