What data we process

Purpose

We process data solely to provide planomatti: logging in, storing and syncing your content, invitations, reminders and notifications. There are no ads. Only if you agree in the cookie banner do we use Google Analytics to measure which pages and features are used, so we can improve planomatti.

Hosting

planomatti is hosted by Metanet AG in Switzerland. Data is stored in data centres in Switzerland. Fonts are loaded from our own server, not from Google.

Cookies and local storage

We set a single, technically necessary cookie for logging in (pm_session, 90 days). So that planomatti keeps working offline, your browser stores a local copy of your workspaces. It is deleted when you log out.

Only if you agree in the cookie banner does Google Analytics also set the cookies _ga and _ga_TVM654HV4S (see below). We store your choice in the banner locally in your browser (pm_consent_v2) so the banner does not appear on every visit.

Our own statistics

In addition, we count visits with our own counter on our server in Switzerland, without cookies and without storing your IP address. We record pages viewed, scroll depth, time on page, clicks on buttons and links, where the visit came from, device type, browser, operating system, screen width, browser language and time zone. So that page views in the same browser tab belong together, we keep a random session ID and the referral source in your browser's session storage (pm_sid, pm_src). Both are deleted as soon as you close the tab.

If you have an account: If you are logged in to planomatti, we link this session to your account. This shows us how you found planomatti and which pages you viewed before and after signing up. We also record which actions you take in the app, for example creating a workspace (with the chosen template), creating or completing a task, sending an invitation or submitting a rating. We do not store content such as the names of tasks or workspaces.

Purpose and legal basis: We want to understand how people find and use planomatti so we can improve it. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the service; where the GDPR applies, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Only the operator of planomatti sees this data, and it is not passed on.

Retention: The link to your account and the actions in the app are deleted automatically after 90 days.

Objection: You can object at any time. Write to kontakt@planomatti.com and we will delete the link and the actions of your account.

Google Analytics

On planomatti.com we use Google Analytics 4, but only if you click «Accept» in the cookie banner. Before that, Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set. Google Analytics is not included in the app itself (planomatti.com/app).

Provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, and Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

What is recorded: pages viewed, clicks on buttons and links, approximate location (country and region), device type, browser, operating system, screen size, where the visit came from (e.g. a search engine or a linking website), and the time and duration of the visit. Before an address is sent to Google, we remove tokens, invitation and read-only links, and workspace IDs from it. Google Signals and personalised advertising are turned off. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses.

Cookies: _ga and _ga_TVM654HV4S distinguish returning visits. They are stored for up to 2 years unless you delete them earlier.

Purpose and legal basis: We want to understand which content and features are used so we can improve planomatti. The legal basis is your consent; where the GDPR applies, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

Transfer abroad: The data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA. Google is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Google's Standard Contractual Clauses also apply.

Retention: Event data in Google Analytics is deleted after no more than 14 months.

Withdrawal: You can change or withdraw your consent at any time in the cookie settings; the link is also in the footer of every page. You can also delete cookies in your browser or install Google's opt-out browser add-on. For more information, see Google's privacy policy.

We run ads via Google Ads. If you click «Accept» in the cookie banner, we measure whether a visit from an ad leads to a sign-up. For this, the Google tag is loaded. A click on «Start for free» or «Sign up», a completed sign-up or a newly created workspace is reported as a conversion. We send sign-ups and workspaces via Google Analytics, which is linked to our Google Ads account.

What is recorded: that a sign-up button was clicked, an account was created or a workspace was set up, the ad click identifier (gclid), time, device and browser. Your name, email address and the content of your workspaces are not sent to Google.

Cookies: _gcl_au and, where applicable, _gcl_aw attribute such a click to an ad click. They are stored for up to 90 days.

Personalised advertising: is turned off. We do not use the data for remarketing.

Provider, legal basis, transfer abroad and withdrawal: as for Google Analytics above.

Sign in with Google

Instead of using your email and password, you can also log in or sign up with your Google account. If you choose «Sign in with Google», we redirect you to Google (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). There you log in and confirm that planomatti may receive your details.

What we receive from Google: your name, your email address, whether it is verified, and an identifier of your Google account. We use this to create your planomatti account or to link it to an existing account with the same email address. We never see a password of yours. We get no access to your emails, files or contacts.

What Google learns: that you are logging in to planomatti. The content of your workspaces is not sent to Google. Google may transfer data to the USA. Google's privacy policy applies.

Voluntary: Signing in with Google only happens if you choose it. You can set your own password at any time via «Forgot password» and log in without Google. You can remove the connection in your Google account under «Third-party apps».

Push notifications

Notifications are delivered via the push service of your browser or operating system (e.g. Google, Apple, Mozilla, Microsoft). The content is transmitted with end-to-end encryption. You can turn notifications off at any time in your account or in your browser settings.

Emails

We send invitations and password reset links via our mail server at Metanet.

Sharing

We do not sell any data. The only exception to sharing: if you have agreed in the cookie banner, usage data goes to Google (see Google Analytics and Google Ads). The content of a workspace is only visible to its members and to people with a read-only link created by a member.

Retention and deletion

Data is stored for as long as your account exists. Deleted workspaces are permanently removed after 30 days. To delete your account, write to kontakt@planomatti.com.

Data security

Connections are encrypted via HTTPS, and passwords are only stored as a bcrypt hash. Even so, complete security and permanent availability of the data cannot be guaranteed. Any liability for lost data is excluded (see disclaimer). Please make your own backups regularly.

Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), you have the right to access, correct and delete your data, and to receive it in a common format (in the workspace under Settings → «Alle Daten als JSON», export all data as JSON). To exercise these rights, contact the address above.
